Okay, so my laptop has been on for the past 48 hours. Is this hazardous to my laptop? It's a bit warm, but not really hot or anything like that. Some people say their laptops are on for weeks and some say you shouldn't keep it on for more than 24 hours. Any suggestions/advice?

My friend has left his laptop on for over a moth before. If he turns it off it takes forever to turn back on because he keeps getting the BSOD. And, I sometimes leave my desktop on for weeks at a time so I think you should be perfectly fine.
No it is not. Computers aren't like humans in the sense that they need sleep. Constantly turning your computer on and off is hazardous, overuse of the fan and display can cause minor problems.
It depends how well the computer is venting the heat, and how well the central processing unit's exterior cooling fans are doing, where the vents on your computer are, it's normal for it to be warm while running, but if it feels hot to the touch, then maybe it's time to power down.
