Do you think what the NSA is doing is necessary? Should we even have the NSA?

Personally, I don't even see how the NSA even helps us. So no, I don't think the NSA should be doing why it's doing. We he a right to our privacy. I don't want some guy I haven't even seen on Tv or in real life, to know as much or more about me then I know about me.

The NSA exist for more than just spying on your Internet history, they do a lot more to protect the public. And also, whilst I think that collecting data to identify threats is necessary, I think that the worlds governments should have been more transparent and actually told people that they were listening. Then there wouldn't have been as much of a shock, and also the NSA wouldn't have gotten away with as much as they have (there would be more regulations etc.)

The only reason there was so much shock is because main stream media blew Edward Snowden's "announcement" out of proportion. He didn't tell the public anything that wasn't already known, but the stupidity of most Americans came out and they forgot everything they knew and jumped on the Snowden train acting like he was a hero when he did nothing. OT the NSA does exactly what they are supposed to monitor communications to prevent terrorism, they do a lot of unnecessary things I will say but really what Government agency in any country doesn't? They entire world is corrupt.

Exactly, you couldn't be more right tbh. People who think the NSA are doing anything shady are stupid, why would they give a fuck about literally 99% of the population. They have already stated that they only search for key phrases and words, so honestly I don't know why everyone got so shook up. If it wasn't the NSA, then it was going to be someone else.

It's too late to do anything anyways. Everyone spies on each other anyways, everyone is equally corrupt.
