How can contraceptives be a sin? no child/fetus/zygote is killed in the process, because contraceptives only prevents and does NOT stop fertilization. Contraceptives and abortion are two different things.

Hello..

I don't think if using a contraceptive is a sin. The catholic church says so but I don't believe in that. I think, the woman is just thinking that if she won't do it, she may have an unwanted pregnancy and that would only cause trouble. For me, the woman is just being responsible and she is thinking of the future while practicing her human rights and the call of nature.

Using contraceptives is not a sin, abortion is a sin. Contraceptives are used only for to stop beginning a life not for to killing a life. It is better to use contraceptives if we don't want child.

I have never read that in any book, even any religious book does not forbid you from using contraceptives. That is to avoid any unwanted pregnancy and not to kill any one. Therefore I strongly suggest to use the available methods to keep ever increasing population under control. May be in some countries where they are too strict they will face problems soon.

Its nt sin coz the mother is taking precaution so that she can in time give birth and take responsibility and if in untime there may be problem.

I am not a fundamentalist or fanatic to believe in all this sort of arguments! For me a contraceptive is a product developed scientifically to stop reproduction for the time being when one wants to postpone the event of pregnancy temporarily! I see no sin in it! Thanks !

hello good day to you, for me i think its not a sin we just prevent the unplanned pregnancy but according to church belief its a sin because we dont have the right to alter god's will wether or not a life should begin or end for that matter.

no i don't consider contraception as a sin.contraception prevents fertilization and when there is no fertilization there is no zygote,no foetus, then how could it be considered killing in any ways?

using a contraceptives is not a sin its a choice.. its depends upon the couple if they both agreed to use or not to use a contraceptive to plan the numbers of siblings they want.

Contraception is not wrong but it should be used for a limited time period and should not stop the couple having children afterward.

Using contraceptive is using a type of birth control which prevents a woman of becoming pregnant. That's is a kind of prevention just like any other kind of preventive measures we have to do in our daily lives. I don't think that contraceptive is a sin because you never do anything to kill lives.

If they say NO then my answer is YES. Why? remember the fifth commandment and sixth commandment? fifth commandment: thou shall not kill sixth commandment: thou shall not commit adultery. Contraceptives kills because it prevents male cells to enter to the woman to create a child. With contraceptives you play safe, you can play with anyone and that is adultery. Bear in your minds that there is only 2 FINAL Destination that awaits us HEAVEN and HELL and whatever our destination it is irrevocable, so act God's will accordingly

Well it might be a sin. But I guess it is way better than abortion. So if I were to chose I think using contraceptives is a lesser evil. Contraceptives also helps solve the problems of overpopulation.

But of course ideally teens should not use contraceptives. Teens must not do premarital sex. Couples on the other hand could practice natural family planning.
