Is wordpress worth it?

Im looking to make a Graphics Website kinda like Devaintart but different and was wondering is Wordpress the right place to use this ​

I have never used Wordpress only MyBB and it seems a lot more interesting and a bit better to use ​

What would you guys recommend ?​

I used wordpress in middle school, It was a lowkey game site for the kids @ my school because the board would block everything...
It's simple and there are some sick themes on there
I think wordpress would be perfect for a graphics site, just not sure how the prices are...

They Vary and the plugins I need are all there Ill think ill try it out and hope for the best

Go with WordPress, but I would code the site myself.
