Jesus cannot be the son of God. Christians correct me if I'm wrong.

For any other believer it's plain blasphemy, and also doesn't make sense. For the following points:

- If you ask a Christian: If Jesus is the son of God, then why not pray and worship the father instead of the son? They usually say Jesus IS God, and the holy trinity are one (which contradicts it being a monotheist religion).

- Jesus apparently was sent down to die for our sins, so they could be forgiven?

- In others, God came down in the form of a man, only to die, so that the sins of humans could be forgiven. The sins he would technically be the one forgiving?

It doesn't make no sense. Why would a God come down to die for sins he would be the one forgiving?? And God is supposed to be the almighty, it's blasphemy that Man, which he created, could kill him.

I don't even believe Jesus died on the cross. Were talking about a man who had the power to heal the blind, walk on water and feed thousands with a loath of bread, and nails were enough to put an end to him?

Discuss and correct me where I'm wrong.

God made these contradictions just so you could challenge them. Logic is irrelevant, god exists, I'm right, you're wrong.

Logic cannot be realistically applied to religion, faith seems to have a way of destroying these arguements without any facts or evidence at all.

OK well this is what I think

Jesus is A god but not THE god.

and if you believe in religion he wanted to die for our sins so he could of been killed anyway.

Well, by claiming that the trinity is 3 persona making one God, we are a monotheistic religion. Jesus is God personified, so being 100% man and 100% God, the human side of Jesus, born by Mary is God's son.

I agree with Epic, I used to be a Roman Catholic Christian, but trying to understand the why's and how's about God without a constant answer "Have Faith" got too much for me and I decided Atheism was the best option.. and it was.

Jesus was made from God, and he existed before Satan was cast down from Heaven. God prophesied that man would fall from grace and Jesus Christ vowed to cleanse them of their sins. His death was already agreed upon before Adam and Eve left Eden.

He existed as a divine entity before being born into an earthly vessel.
His body was born of Mary, but his soul was created from his father, God.
His body was simply flesh, but you have to remember that Jesus ascended.
Physically, he was no more than a normal man. Spiritually, he was a healer.

Which is why He was capable of (and did) die on the cross. No human body could survive being on the cross, it's not physically possible.

I believe that he did it to prove that even God himself was willing to die for us, to set an example that we should do whatever we can to praise him in return. Why would you give so much to someone who just asks you too?

If a man offered you $1 million, asking only for $100k in return. Wouldn't you be more likely to accept him and his money?

You know what I find funny?
People who try their hardest to ignore what's happening.

To which I replied:

If that's really as hard to understand as you make it seem to be, I'll explain it again.

- His soul was made from Gods.
- His body was made from Mary.

His body was the same body that we have.
The OP makes it sound like he had superman's.

Jesus had a job when he came to earth, and part of the job description was dying on the cross. And Jesus dying for us changed everything.
