Just some philosophy...

Philosophy is one of the few things that I would not be able to live without. Because of this, I think a lot about life.

So, I would like to share with you some of my thoughts on life and what my take is on human life.

I'll start with one of my more recent discoveries, which is my theory on time. Well, what is time? Could we really say that time consists of three tenses: a past, present, and a future?

My answer to these questions would be:
1). Time is an unexplainable series of events that one undergoes before he/she dies...Time is sort of hard to define.
2). Time does not have three tenses. The present tense, at least in my eyes, does not exist. Well why do I say this? I believe this because I don't think there is any time to make decisions in life. Life is just a flashback that one is lives through. It is a journey that one just remembers.

It's pretty hard to understand this logic just by reading text, but I'll do my best to explain myself:

Let's say that you're reading this sentence in the so-called "present" tense. Now, you've just finished reading that sentence, but you read that sentence in the past tense. So, if you read that sentence in the past tense, where did the present tense go?

I'll give you another example:
Let's say that you're watching your favorite TV show right now. You're winding down for the night, but you still want to watch the thirty minutes left on your favorite show. The show ends in a blink of an eye. You fall asleep. The next thing you know is that you've started a new day and you've just woken up from a nine hour sleep. What happened to the show you were watching? Isn't it just a memory, a minute record of last night?

...

Well, that's all I will share with you for now. I still have a lot more to share with you if you're interested. If you think this thread is stupid, I don't mind. If you found the thread interesting, I'm glad to hear that; thanks for reading, either way. I usually don't share my thoughts about life and I usually keep them to myself, but I want to see who thinks about the same things I do.

Regards,
Daklip

This is really interesting, some days seem to go by really fast and others take forever, but you can always stop and think of what is happening and what you are doing but when you look back upon what you did previously it often seems very surreal. This year for me has gone by very fast and It feels like it has disappeared in a blink of an eye. Often times at the end of the school day. I think back on the day and ask myself "where did it go"

I use to say there is no "time". It's a made up concept by humans. Life is just one big long day that never ends. However this "time" that was created does help life seem less complex and makes it awesome when you start remembering awesome things that happened 5 years ago etc.

I like your way of thinking. I feel pretty much the same way. Life is pretty interesting.
