I have quite a large Tumblr account and I received an inbox on my Facebook which says and I quote
"I have all this info on you. I want your tumblr s**l.tumblr.com or else I will ruin your life. Check that paste. If you refuse you will be swatted"
What do I do? Am I meant to believe this? I blocked this account straight away and I didn't click the pastebin link that was sent to me that apparently had all my information,
because he could of had an IP Logger.
What do you guys think? Will I actually get Swatted?
 
Maybe.

Its best to ignore and show no fear.

There is a good chance you might get swatted.. also if the link most likely wasn't an IP grabber.
 
Call your local PD and tell them someone is sending hoax calls, they'll come and file a report.

if it was pastebin.com it won't log your ip or shit

probably best to ignore it and block the account (which you have already done), hopefully nothing bad will happen

That's a bad idea since they will most likely take his computer's and devices to "investigate". Then again if he was to get swatted there would be a good chance they would take his shit then as well.. lol

Getting swatted often times will result in a full sweep of the house, and a search will usually be conducted.
Anything found that's incriminating will more-than-likely be seized through civil forfeiture or some bullshit policy.

Having them ask you a few questions is alot better than dealing with being hogtied with an AR-15 to your head.

This was just before they left my house.
There was an ambulance, a fire truck and a swat vehicle
 
It happened to me for the second time 2 weeks ago.

I was warned by @187 before it happened so it wasn't as bad but it was worse this time than before. It's something that you'll never want to go through in your life... Just a horrible thing when your family is at risk of being shot because of something that happened over the internet.
 
Do what I and @187 did, mainly him though, give him your address, full name and city. GG m8ey
 
I've swatted people and I've been swatted, here's how you handle it:

1. Do NOT reply.
2. Block him.
3. Being swatted is not the end of the world, it is scary as shit but as long as you don't try attacking a swat team you'll be fine. If it happens, just suck it up and in the end you've really not lost a thing.

OT: That kid sounds like the world's worst extortionist, just saying.
 
I highly doubt they can "ruin" your life,since you said you have just been swatted,what are they gonna do know?Call your parents?
Don't give in to them,they are trying to extort you,
If I where you I would just ignore them.Block em,don't respond,do whatever to ignore them.
He is pathetic at trying to extort btw,you don't swat them first.

I didn't and I will never, the thing is that I want to get rid of Tumblr as soon as I can.
I want to sell it.
