Pray said:I just want it it all is my favorite song by him
Cannibаl said:I hate when artists announce themselves in the beginning of their songs. Just goes to show how egoistic they are.
That song name just proves how egoistic and selfish this guy is.
Salvation said:No, that's just to add effective to it.
I know hip-hop and rap are looked down at now, but there is nothing bad about what the songs are behind if you don't want to follow them. I personally just like how most, not many sound like these.
Salvation said:He talks about his ego in one of these too I think, forget which one, but jokingly. Basing an artist off how they at in their music isn't right because that's not the way they are outside of everything.
Cannibаl said:Not sure what you really meant since you phrased that weirdly. Mind rephrasing that?
If you remember it tell me, I would like to determine if he was jokingly talking about it.
Alumni said:What you know about Thee Alumni?
Salvation said:You don't know what I know, but I know you aren't associated with the alumni in any way shape or form.
Salvation said:Sorry I'm a little tired right now, I mean't listening to hip-hop and rap shouldn't be as badly portrayed sometimes as it is. Half of everyone with an actual brain wouldn't want to follow any of it and honestly the artists don't do any of what they say. For example; killing obviously.
He didn't say it jokingly at all. He still sounds like a big egoistic a-hole to me.Salvation said:He doesn't say it jokingly while laughing, but you can nothing is serious.
1:24 - I Just Want It All is where you'll find that.
Cannibаl said:I disagree with that, I believe a lot of the artists do what they rap about and there are some fans who do the stuff they do because they think it's okay to do when their role model does it. For example: Drugs. And there have been several popular rappers who have committed murder and went to prison(Cassidy, Turk, Big Lurch I can go on if you want) and basically all rappers who sing about drugs do drugs.
He didn't say it jokingly at all. He still sounds like a big egoistic a-hole to me.
Salvation said:Well him smoking Marjiuana is in all of these music videos. That's not that bad and I don't see any of them doing heroin. Murdering is questionable, however. Artists like Lil Wayne, Drake, etc. rap about that but there has been no cases of course. I will say you have you don't have a lot to knock down here.
Cannibаl said:Marijuana is still illegal in most places though, so technically it is bad. I doubt they would be even legally allowed to shoot heroin in music videos. A lot(not all) of rappers are bad influences to their adolescent listeners. Lil Wayne has several felonies, not murder, but he's still a criminal. Drake is one the better influences, although he's not the best.
Tragic said:Who cares if they aren't good influences, that's not what they are artists for.
Tragic said:Medicinal marijuana is legal in most states..lol
I can say who cares to whatever I want, you have no say in my life LOL.Cannibаl said:You can't say 'who cares?' to everything. My father just murdered my mother. Who cares? I'm going to die. Who cares? You're going to die. Who cares? The philosophy of not caring about anything is idiotic.
What are they artists for? For writing song lyrics that endorse greed, swearing, killing, drugs, illegal activity, alcohol and having sex for pleasure. Yeah, that's the bullsh*t we should be injecting into adolescent minds. That might just be the stereotype, but that's all I see in today's music. Not joking.
There are too many influential people that aren't qualified to be influencing adolescent and ignorant minds. It's affects them(some slightly, some heavily) psychologically without their awareness after periods of time.
Do you think they're smoking medicinally in that video?
Tragic said:I can say who cares to whatever I want, you have no say in my life LOL.
Tragic said:You must have a hatred towards society, you won't get anywhere in life if you keep looking at the negative things.
Tragic said:You ARE being sterotypical, only some music is like that, and it's not only rap.
Tragic said:Who are you to say someone isn't qualified to be influential? That's funny.
Tragic said:It isn't the artists fault that little kids are listening to them, their music is obviously for a mature audience and the kids parents should do a better job at raising their child.
Tragic said:& yes, Kid Ink smokes medicinally so that statement was invalid.
Tragic said:Also, this is the Media & Entertainment section, not the Philosophy & Debate section.
I came to this thread to see what other people think of Kid Ink and to see to the fav songs of others, not debate.
I don't see why this topic even turned into a debate...smdh
Cannibаl said:Of course you can, but I'm telling you that not caring about anything is a stupid philosophy. You're acting like I don't know that and you keep informing me on common sense stuff like I'm f*cking retarded every time we debate.
Well, society is pretty stupid, but I don't necessarily hate it. I'm smarter than most people of my age group, I doubt that'll be true.
But you must admit a lot of rap lives up to it's stereotype.
So I have to be of higher authority for my point to be valid? Is that what you're trying to imply?
It's still partially the artists fault. I mean they composed the music, how couldn't it be partially their fault.
Were you expecting me to know that?
Salvation told me he wanted to debate. So I debated.
