Kim Dotcom: Mega reaches 1 million users one day after launch

On Saturday, the general public was able to sign up to use Mega, the much hyped successor to the MegaUpload file sharing website that was founded by the controversial Kim Dotcom. Mega's servers immediately buckled under the pressure as over 100,000 people registered for the service within an hour after it launched.

Damn if they didn't go by emails Mega accounts would be sold like crazy on ForumKorner. I'm glad Dotcom has made a new site, it's a shame he can't get back megaupload though =(

I love how Mega is off-shore, so that it can't be taken down again. xD
But I've got used to MediaFire too much to switch back tbh.

That's probably the best thing about the site. Better to have it offshore then get it taken down.
