Simple question, infinite answers.

What knowledge is worth seeking?

Psychology? Engineering? Philosophy? Chemistry? The arcane? What knowledge is worth knowing?

Wisdom is worth immeasurable amounts, in my opinion.

Wisdom can only be attained through experience. Im talking about something you can learn and devote your life to.

Well something to strive for and devote a person's life to would really come down that person's personal qualities. I don't think anybody could give a profession to go after and it generalizes everyone in the world as an essential quality to add to your life.

If I had to generalize it, just learning how to work and provide for yourself and your family when you have one. Learn the basic laws in your country/city. Understand everybody is entitled to their own opinion and you should not patronize their opinion or tell them an opinion is wrong, it's impossible for opinions to be wrong. Understand a moral wrong cannot be solved with law or violence.

There's some more but I cba to think more on this. Some of this may come across as very Liberal, but that's just how my thought process works and obviously not everybody will agree with me.

I gather my knowledge and understanding from many areas, though I prefer to label it as wisdom. I find the wisdom of inner-peace, tranquility and spiritual enlightenment through my faith. I find the wisdom of "the street" through my friends. I find the wisdom of humility and kindness from my mom and my grandparents. I find the wisdom of inspiration in great leaders and other important people in the world, also in my music. I find my wisdom of learning through dedication and patience, traits of the aforementioned and also from my semi-photographic memory. That's a broad question and anyone that can give a basic 1 or 2 sentence answer doesn't fully understand it. Will we ever know everything? No. At least not in this form of existence.

You cannot label knowledge and understanding as wisdom, they are not interchangeable. To have wisdom you must first have knowledge and understanding yes, but cannot be used as synonyms. Just for future reference.

I won't get in to technicalities lol. But from my own perspective and experience, knowledge and wisdom go hand-in-hand. Without knowledge, one can't attain wisdom, this is true. But to label one or the other as such, with factual terminology, cheapens wisdom and degrades knowledge. There are many wise people I've encountered that were poorly educated and their brand of knowledge came from just living their lives. I've encountered several learned people who live by the books they read, but haven't lived it for themselves, so they can not be wise about it. To me, if you don't live what you learn and learn from what you live, you can not truly be wise. I used the word wisdom from my own life experiences. Knowledge seemed too cheap a word to describe life experiences. That's all I was getting at.

That's because "knowledge" does not describe experiences, wisdom does, you can not interchange one for the other, nor can you say you "have knowledge but wish to label it wisdom," that's like saying I label a cow as a cheeseburger, while it's true you need a cow (knowledge) to get a cheeseburger (wisdom) you can't use them like synonyms.

Any and all knowledge is worth seeking.
