Laptops or tablets

Tablets are super popular nowadays because of the iPad. Samsung also released their Samsung Tab, and the Blackberry, its very own Playbook. Do you think laptops will be obsolete in the near future because of the tablets?
Which do you prefer?

Laptops as of now. But tablets too are getting popular for their easy portability and efficiency. Tablets would take over laptops soon or later though.

I would choose laptop for now because many people still use the laptops right now. But more and more people are getting pc tablets, because you can go on the internet with it and chat, etc.

i think laptops will be there forever since it is better than iPad. you can save as many in laptops and unlike ipad which is touch screen, laptops would last longer evil:evil:

i think laptop is good as per any other tab but when that large capacity of hard disk is come in tab i think the laptop's will reduce its important

For both are good but according to price i think laptop is very good for me as it can taken everywhere and it has large capacity of free space .

Yes, looking at the trend it seems tablets are becoming more popular and are easy to carry when compared with Lap Tops but then they may become popular with the youngsters more than aged people like me who have difficulty in reading the small letters on the screen! Only time will tell what is in the store, may be some other innovation is awaiting to take Off! You never know! Thanks !

laptops are more popular in current days but as there is a rule that new technologies replace the old one so it is possible that our loving laptops get replaced with tablets in near future.

It's depend mostly on software and operation system You use. If the software that You will use can run (and run faster as on notebook) on tablet and it's easy to type on it, then choose tablet. Also, do not forget operation systems. Tablets are mostly for surfing, not for real hard works.
If it was me, I'll chose laptop.
Tablets are the future. They arent for now.

I have laptop. I'm kinda bored of using it so i wanna try that tablet. I think it's cool and very handy. You can bring it anywhere without any hassle. But laptops won't be lost i guess. Because business men would still prefer using it for their programs, presentation, and important things that has to do with their business. They would still prefer to save it on their laptops.

Nowadays, laptops and notebooks are popular but who knows, tablets might become famous next year or so because of its convenience and size. But as of now, I prefer using laptop. If tablets will be the trend, I might shift my paradigm.

I own a laptop now,im planning also to buy tablets,like Samsung galaxy tab because that is same as laptop,easy to carry and you can do also chatting with video whenever you are and not too heavy.

I do not understand why I have never fallen in love with ipads/tablets and/or have never wished to own one. I think laptops are way better than them and would choose laptops anyday.
My friend brings his ipad to school and lets us use it but I have never been interested in it and don't even bother, i use my laptop instead.
