Legalize Weed - My Thoughts

As a person who does not smoke, nor wants to be associated with weed, although I don't have any problem with it, I think since because people wanted it legalized, it should be.

BUT

I think that the US government should legalize weed, and to be able to deal, buy, smoke, or anything associated to weed, you have to apply for a certain card, somewhat like a drivers license.

And the people that have these cards should NOT be allowed to vote.

I repeat they should not be allowed to vote in elections of any kind. That should be the consequence of smoking weed legally.

I think this is a fair compromise for the legalization of weed.

What do you guys think?

I to do not smoke nor plan on it, but I do believe they should just legalize it and have it in liquor stores or something so it can be taxed.

It is already decriminalized where I live, I'm sure in a few years it will be legal here.

Why do you believe that they shouldn't be allowed to vote?

I think that should be the consequence if we legalized weed. That seems like a fair compromise, assuming people want to smoke weed enough to give up their right to vote.

People like that wouldn't care that they don't get to vote

I believe everything you could ever think about should be free to be used, done, committed, or talked about I believe government is the worst thing we can do to our world and that simply trying to legalize things is a unproductive use of time a better use of time would to be just to ignore the "law" and smoke or trade your illegal items and substances.

this mentality of a world in that free world would be in chaos, a free mentality raised in the free world would be a nice a peaceful place. because that's definitely possible y'know. create a perfect new standard that will never want to stand up against someone else, or want to make themselves feel as if they're higher than another person.
it's just a human mentality fact, you wish to be better than everyone else. you strive to be the best. you don't want to be on the same level as everyone else.

Your "new standard and a long broad line to keep the world intact." wouldn't survive.

Personally i think they should, I don't see why they haven't legalized it yet as they would make so much more money on tax. I don't smoke it often but quite a lot of my mates are addicted and smoke it everyday.

you are truly ignorant, this long broad line is not a control leadership in the free world everyone would be free to teach whatever. Everyone would be free to do what they want but everyone would be informed of EVERYTHING what would happen if they tried to do certain things. Everyone would be equally powerful equally treated and everyone would have no reason to want power. No reason because they have everything they need everything that everyone else has and more. seriously if you think about it without thinking deeply you are doing yourself harm you are forming a blockade to a free mind by arguing with me. Which is not healthy at all.


also OT The biggest distributors of drugs are all the governments we see today, in fact the CIA created crack cocaine with their former highest purity cocaine. the reason weed isn't legalized along with other drugs such as meth is because they do make money off of it but it isn't monitored because hardly anyone knows they are the ones making the money ALSO some of the drugs in their current state are harmful and cause deaths which help thin things out a bit and they can arrest people and cease their money+drugs as well as incarcerate them which is a triple whopper for them. Drugs are just another control mechanism for our governments.

Not true what so ever.

My friend got caught the other day. Probably one of the smartest kid I know that is street smart and book smart. Getting caught doesn't mean you're dumb, unless you're leaving your weed in obvious places. It's just something you can't control sometimes.

Back OT. I think it should be legalized. eXero, I'm supporting what you say with the card. It'd be a good way to ease into the distribution of marijuana legally for the first year or so. After though, I don't think it'd be necessary. I also don't smoke it.

I do not smoke and I never plan to. But I do think marijuana should be legalized. It should be just like drinking alcohol. I actually wrote a college paper on this subject. Let me see if I can find it on this computer...

I do have a weed issue, i smoke weed almost everyday. But i do not see the reason i shouldn't be able to vote, yes i smoke weed, yes my brain takes damage from it, but i do not feel so stupid, that i can't take a part in the daily life as an normal person, i do understand politics, i do understand what my country are doing. Why shoulnd't i have the rights to vote.

(Btw, i do not live in the states, but in Denmark)

disregarding my other posts, I would love for weed to be legalized and regulated because dealing with drug dealers all the time gets annoying as fuck. Just saying and inb4 silk-road broo, everything on SR is horrible believe me I've spent plenty bc on there >.<
