Fast Don said:Well, the illegality doesn't stop anyone from consuming marijuana. Let me ask you a question OP. Why should marijuana be illegal?
Zangrefia said:There is a previous thread about this topic, but nonetheless legal all the way.
Fast Don said:It would be nice to have it legal (recreational use), but I can go both ways. And in California, people can get medical cards if they are having issues with chronic pain, cancer, etc. Also, what do you mean by "crime?" Crimes that are committed while under the influence of marijuana, or crimes that are committed trying to obtain/sell/etc marijuana?
anX said:Drug distribution.

Clay said:I believe marijuana would be decent if it were legal, it would stimulate the economy by the insane taxes I can only imagine would be placed upon it. However, I don't believe this would stop "drug distribution" crime that much because of the ability to obtain the marijuana "tax-free." I'm sure it would lower the crime rate dramatically, but it wouldn't disappear, that's for sure.
