Durantula: Any advice on getting proof that this account belongs to "You Are Busted"? You've got my word that I know the guy, but as soon as he was hacked, I removed him from my Friend's List. So there went my proof. Imagine if this was your account that got hacked. What would you do to get it back?

So here's what I don't get man...assuming you're a man. Hell I don't know. Why go through all the hassle and shit of stealing a dude's account for like what $110? That was the best offer I saw today on this thread.

This is just me being curious. Obviously my friend is pissed (rightly so). I want to understand the why though. $110 for a day's worth of hassle just doesn't seem like a good haul man. Especially for something that has to be breaking some law. Maybe not property rights. But probably identity theft or fraud. Not a lawyer, sorry.

So why do it? Why do people sell and buy tags in general? Maybe that's a broader question for another time.

So I was referring more to the having to deal with it in this forum and do damage control...but whatever.

Just so we're all clear though, it only took you 5 minutes to steal my buddy's account. But then there's taking a picture, posting it to the forum, listening to us bitch and moan about it. Just doesn't seem worth it man. You've only got a few dozen posts on here, so you can't be selling that much. I'm just trying to understand the economics of it.

Because it was available. My original plan was to come in here and be like, "Boy, I didn't raise no punk ass tag stealing bitch." And then probably insult his ancestry or something along those lines. But I got tired.
 

Wasn't really hoping to sell this anyways as I know I wouldn't have had it for long, I just did it for the lulz. The pic taking only took about 4 minutes and making the thread about 2. So it all adds up to about 11 minutes, again your argument is invalid.

What... Since when Did Stealing & Tags Become Involved In this Covnversation I Said nothing about Jacking. And Even if you Did Steal an Account it would mostlikely be Phished or the Computer was Botted or.. Maybe you just pw Guessed. due too the Fact you dont have a Tier 3 Number

You're coming in late to the convo. Let me recap:
1) InsaneYo steals my buddy's account (You Are Busted) through some unknown process. Maybe some utility that uses SQL injection. Hell I don't know.
2) People bid on it. Some of them sniff out a bad sell.
3) My buddy signs up for the forum and does his best to not go completely ape-shit since his account of 10 years was taken.
4) I sign up for the forum for color commentary purposes and to try and understand this crazy world of people so desperate for GamerTags that they sell them and steal them and whatever.

And that's about it.
