Nestea said:Story is not incredible at all, he is just another good basketball player like most people in the NBA, all the hype is because he is asian, if he was black there would be no "linsanity"
Famous™ said:lol your joking right? its got nothing to do with him being asian, do you actually know the story?
he somehow didnt get drafted, played at and graduated Havard.
after that he went to 2 nba teams and never got a shot, then went to knicks and was like 3rd string, he only got a game because of so many injuries.
on debut he got 28 points and consistantly average 28 points, he has the highest points average for first five games ever in nba history.
he made the knicks win 7 in a row.. and for a team that had only won like 6 all season is amazing.
and he is 10th in the race for MVP when he missed so many games.
I rest my case.
Nestea said:Did you see the teams they beat in that streak? and what happened when they played a real team.
Famous™ said:yep, his 3rd game was lakers, he top scored with 38 points.
they stopped OKC winning streak of 7 lose, which is the team on top of both conferences.
soo... your point is invalid, sorry
Nestea said:The lakers... lmfao you just ensured me you know nothing.
treb said:The hype isn't rooted in him being Asian, rather a prevailing underdog, who despite all odds, emerges at the top. Through viewing Lin's games, one idolizes and can envision themselves to be in his shoes. Since, we can ask ourselves, "if he made it, why can't we"? It also stresses how everyone should be given a chance to shine. This is more than basketball, this is life ^^
