Live-in and Marriage: Which One Guarantees a Success in a Relationship?

I'm only 17, therefore I'm not so experienced. I think that marriage is something which people have to think pretty well about it. Live-in and Marriage, both can guarantee a success. It will depend of the people we are talking about.

I have never married or whatnot, so all I can tell you is based entirely on my book-smarts. So i would say being a live in is more likely to have you get into a better relationship, although most spouses try not to divorce because of the long drawn out court trials and if you have children, custody issues and spousal and child support. but with a live in she/he could just leave, there is nothing binding them to be with you. so in my book-smarts, i would say marriage is better at actually keeping the relationship.

Marriage will keep you somehow together , so i prefer it.
Live-in is kinda different, hard to explain...

Even marriage isnt safe this day, only love and acre for each other will keep you together.

Live-in relationship seems casual to me. I mean, your partner can always walk over you. She might be emotionally attached to you, but there is not that feeling of marriage that will make you think twice or thrice.

I think when it comes to building a good relationship, I go for living in.. because you guys will know the real attitude of your partner first. Nowadays, there are a lot of couples who were divorced after 3-5 years of marriage.

I totally agree with what you said. living in is just a test if they are compatible.

I think marriage guarantees success in a relationship. Marriage is a sacred relationship between a man and a woman. There are emotional ties and religious values in it.

I personally have a lot of belief in married life rather than the live-in concept. When someone lives-in with another person, I don't think he can have a full commitment with that person. I'm married and have two children. My vote is for married life.

I think marriage has a tight bond than lived -in relationship since under the lived-in relation the partners can split anytime

for me what ever is there; its still the person involve that makes it work, live-in or marriage, its boils down to ; love, respect, trust and responsibilities!
