Living Forever

So the question is, would you want to live forever?


About two years ago I had this big fear of death, and I would always think about dying. The reason is because it is truly unknown what happens death. Even though people have had experiences of being in hell/heaven (by the way I am Christian), except I would think it would be complete darkness and you wouldn't really even think and it is hard to explain. Recently, I have gotten over my fear of death and realized it is apart of life. The reason is because I realized it would suck to live forever. The reason I think this is because you would get bored and repeat everything everyday until something happened to the Earth which might be millions or billions of years. So, the only thing I hope is to live long and healthy.

The reason I am asking this is because I am curious what you think.

People have had experiences with nothingness in NDE's, too and much more often. The trivial amount of reported Heaven and Hell NDE's mean nothing. I find it intriguing that you find living forever dreadful when you believe you'll be living forever in Heaven.

I think it's quite blatant immortality would be awful.

Also, to touch on Cannibals response, your brain releases massive amounts of DMT both during birth and death/NDE. This provides an explanation for the hallucinations people experience, for example heaven and hell.

I wouldn't want to be immortal. I don't want to see this world get destroyed lol

If I were surrounded by the people I care about then I'm all for living for forever. Unfortunately that's impossible, enjoy what you have, it'll be gone before you know it's there.

Yes, immortality would be a blessing. I would be the smartest man in the world by far after time, I would make unbelievable discoveries. I could do whatever I wished for how ever long I wanted to, I could get whatever I wanted to with time. I could fall in love again and again. I could watch civilizations rise and fall and be there when its all gone. There is a certain numbness you gotta have. Great power that immortality comes with. I could fight wars by myself. Defend my homeland by myself. Shit, I'd be a superhero if I wanted to. If you are upset that you will outlive your loved ones, just imagine how much you will help the rest of civilization with your existence.

No I wouldn't want to live forever.
Too much pain in the first sixteen years of my life. I wouldn't want to have to go through all that again and again. Especially when my family isn't there with me through it.
