Living Longer vs. Living Better

To start, I didn't really know what to title this, so yeah.
So, I came across this song while on the YouTubes. This guy is an amazing poet. However, this thread is not about the song below. It is about a specific lyric in the song.

The lyric I am speaking about:
God's a bully and he makes it rain dodgeballs
You can stand off in the corner and you might last a little longer
But you'll never win that way.

Now, this line is truly eye opening. It is to show how you will live longer by not taking risks, but you will never live if you don't take risks. What are your opinions on this lyric?

I think you are living if you like what you do in life and that is different for everyone

I would live both because I need it hahaha

"The bad die quick and the good never really live." Fits this. I don't want to grow old just to remember the times I skipped out on.
