Lower Rep

Lowering the amount of rep people can give would help a lot. Lowering people's egos, mainly.

Power+: 3
Staff: 5

Members can join on one day. Donate and rep4rep the entire day and get maybe 500 rep. Boosts their ego way too high and they start saying they won't deal first. *cough cough*

Also limit the amount of people you can rep a day to maybe 3 - 5.

If your ego is lowered because of a little green or red number you need to re-evaluate.

Like, just re-evaluate everything.

But the same issue would be at hand.
If you rep4rep even with everyone having such small rep power, you would still get the issue of "I have more reputation, therefore I'm not going first."
If you lower the rep power, rep4rep people who join 1 day will still have much higher rep than older members in some cases. You could still have someone who rep4reps and gains 200 rep in a week or so, and because of the low rep power 200 would be viewed as "a high amount" and they would still have an ego.

I vote no, this is illogical, and will not stop people from doing it.

The amount doesn't matter, all that will happen is that 30 rep will be the new 100 rep etc.

Onyx & Power are limited to repping a certain amount of users a day, not clue what the limit is but yeah there is a cap.

Power+ well we have certain features for donating $60-$80 all together for the highest upgrade on the site.

I believe that there will be new things coming with the new theme that will change the reputation system but it could also cause a giant reset for everyone's reputation etc etc.

I am down for this, I'd like to see a smaller amount to be given.

People have paid for what they've paid for, and giving and receiving 5/10/15 rep is one of them. A no from me.

Exactly. People have been here for much longer and don't have even the half of what trusted members call as rep.

It honestly wouldn't matter either way. It's less complicated if everything just stays how it is now.
I miss the old "Vouches" system as that proved trust. I don't remember why it was removed though. Vouch threads are just as equal though.
