I'd say a PC.
I've owned both for awhile, and Macs are starting to appeal less to me due to the need for a VM. Also, it's trouble playing games on Steam which is a huge thing for me. If you're going to be a gamer, don't buy a Mac, you're limiting yourself greatly.

I like Mac's. Although I've never owned one, I use them a lot in college. They're so smooth.

What will you be using it for mostly? Graphics or webdesign I say mac... If your getting it for personal use I say PC... It's really base on what your going to be using it for...

Mac Pro - http://www.apple.com/mac-pro/specs/

Dell/Alienware X51 - http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-x51-r2/pd.aspx

Looking for a note book or laptop or desktop? its so much to ask here lol... and most of all gotta have a budget in mind?

I wouldn't recommend an Alienware unless you're planning on gaming a majority of the time. For schoolwork, go with a MacBook Pro.

It depends what you are planning to do on it.
Macs are good if you have a big budget.
If you are on a small budget you can get a laptop with win7 for $300 or so.

Just choose PC. Having a Mac is sometimes, just too complicated.

It depends what you want to do with it. If you need it for photo editing and design, Mac has very good programs for it. If you want to use it for gaming or basic stuff I think pc will be better.

*I hope I am not too late by making this post, but I have a great response for you.*

I use to be a Mac user, and when I made the switch it was probably the smartest thing I have done.

Apple computers are great for the typical user for it, but I know you and you are going to want to go with PC. This is because Windows lets you act more freely/do certain things Mac computers won't let you. The software Apple uses, is great but very different from Windows. If you want to get into coding or programming you would want a Windows computer because Mac's don't allow you to program in the more popular languages. Now it is possible to do this on Mac computers but a lot easier on PC's.

I can explain a lot more, but I all I am saying is that a PC would be a lot better for YOU for sure.

I would suggest a HP Pavilion 500 PC. It is an amazing computer and perfect for your budget.

@Conquer - Ah I see. I thought I was a bit late, but I tried to get my last few words in.

What kind did you get? You should post your specs HERE, or on this thread.

If you don't know how to find your specs, PM me. You'll need to know these for future purposes. It's a basic "need-to-know".

With a $1000 budget I would probably suggest a nice PC.

I disagree with macs not being for photos & videos, I think Mac's are wonderful at photo editing and video editing.

I am a user of both computers but I always find myself wanting to use my Macbook for everything, just due to the...smoothness?

There's something unexplainably wonderful on Macs where they always work.
