Well I really want to buy this computer, but the price is extremely gnarly imo. 2700$ for the retina display 15 inch. I know almost nothing about computers/laptops/any of that shit, just wondering what you guys think about it. I've heard it's extremely convenient for how heavy and how awesome it is from some friends but the price is like buying a new bike. Tell me what you guys think.

MacBook Pro 15 Inch worth it?

The screen is shit. Mine had a small speck which seemed like a green spot. Went from that to a whole screen cracked with blue pixels dripping and they won't fix it. Costs $500 + to fix it. Get a desktop on a payment plan, love my 27 in iMac

I'm currently using a brand new 21.5 inch iMac and it's great. It's really quick and responsive and well worth the money in my opinion.
I'm pretty sure the MacBook Pro uses the same operating system and has around the same specs, so if I were you I would buy it. I would think twice about the retina display though, as I don't think it's worth it. MY screen looks clear af and I don't have retina display.
But it does depend on the type of things you are going to be doing on your computer. For example, I'm into editing and graphic design, and the Mac is brilliant for both of those. But if you were going to be using it to game on, I would recommend getting something different.
Yes, it's a lot of money but it's an investment. Macs stay up to date and current for a lot longer than windows products, my friend has had his iMac for over 5 years and it still works great and does all the things he needs of it.

Get the 13" I have both the 13 and the 15 inch and they're both amazing in my opinion.. Of course you can buy a PC for a lower price and that's not a bad idea.. However when it comes to school or editing I favor my my mac due to the reason that it's reliable and it won't crash at any given moment.

720p on YouTube is honestly just the lowest you would want to go because the amazing screen makes everything normal resolution that would look fine on a normal screen look bad.
I don't think it's worth it, you can get good specs with a SSD (a smaller capacity but much faster hard drive) for a lot less than $2,700 or whatever it is.
I know a ton about Apple products and own 20+ of them myself, from iMac's to Mac Mini's to Macbook Pro's to Macbook Air's so if you have any further questions you can PM me.
I'd say, if you want the 15", get that with an i7 processor, at least 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB or 512GB SSD.
If money isn't a problem, go big.

However, it may be worth getting since all the retina displays come with 8Gb of ram instead of 4Gb which for me is a huge thing as I love having both Photoshop and Sony Vegas open.
