This topic fires me up. You have all been effected by sexism and societies ever-strong opinion on what it means to be a man. Im just going to leave this video here. Let all of the opinions out in this thread. Just dont come in here disagreeing with me until you watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vp8tToFv-bA

There is much that needs to be said about this. The first time I finished this video, I honestly wanted to cry. Never have I been so understood by anyone of the opposite sex. It was like, she took my exact thoughts and made a video and stood up for me. I respect this woman so very much, as a human being and a humanist.

I'll let some activity hit the thread before I go balls out making my case on the subject.

Here's another video by the Amazing Atheist, this one is only a few minutes.

A few key things to look at here:

-Suicide Statistics
-Selective Service (The Draft)
-Judicial sentencing
-Genital Mutilation
-Medical and Educational Funding
-Standards men are held to that go without reward, but rather demand.
-Countless double standards, for example the common belief that it is less acceptable for a man to hit a woman that it is for a woman to hit a man.

There are plenty more. Paying for dates?

I've seen both videos beforehand and I entirely agree.

The expectations for men and women differ so immensely, it's ridiculous. The average understanding of male disposability is so poorly understood and the awareness of it is so substandard. The general first-world society still think women are essentially the only ill-treated sex, when yet, it's backwards and misunderstood.

I would have to agree. Its just dust swept under the carpet (conveniently) and the carpet been nailed down. It frustrates me. Everything is backwards.
