Marijuana Legalization

What is your view on it?

I think that it should be legalized for obvious reasons. I will explain my reasoning as people post.

I am all for the legalization, as I smoke myself. I read recently on CNN that there are 14.4 million weed smokers last month. Think about it. Tax those 14.4 million people for lets say, 7% per gram. In New Jersey, it's 20$ per gram so 14.4 million x 20$ = 288000000. 288000000 * $.07 = $20,160,000 per month. $20,160,000 * 12 (months) = $241,920,000 a year. Does that not seem like a good plan for the government?

Yah that's one of the big reason it should be legalized is for the taxation money...

Also with the whole new Weed Industry it would create lots of jobs to help us out with the unemployment rate.

In california it is legal to an extent, here for it to be legal you have to have a medical card, I don't need one seeing as I work at a clinic where we distribute marijuana and I get a free 8th a day and an item (pipe, bong, etc.) or an edible (food made out of THC or Marijuana)

If there were any deaths it would only be from people's stupid decisions...But, people already die from stupid decisions they make while they are sober. Also, Tabbacco and Alcohol already kill way more people.

This. Another one of my reasons is I think that this would stop some of the drug cartel violence in Mexico since that is like 60% of their product.

I'm all for it being legalized, but with obvious terms that apply to Alcohol. Just as Alcohol, you can't drink it in the public, I think Marijuana should act the same. As long as you do it in the comfort in your own homes, it should be just fine. Also, an age limit should be strictly enforced.

itd be cheap? itd be free by the drug dealers lol, they can go buy it in the checmist rather than risk dieing or jail getting it form dealers on the street
