Member of the Month Competition Has Arrived!

Yes, the competition has come to Market Forums. I asked the community their opinions and every single one of them voted in favor of introducing this competition to MF. How is it going to work? Well at the end of each month Staff will decide (in the Staff section) which member gets it. When MF gets bigger, we will make a seperate category for MOTM where users AND Staff will vote for the communitys member of the month.

The winner may receive small cash awards, forum awards, accounts or any other award which MF can give out. They will get their own usergroup with higher permissions and will have their own colour/userbar.

All users can be nominated, but founders cannot. We need at least 2 members of staff to decide on a member of the month.

I'm personally very excited for this competition.

He posted a HQ OC post in a thread that I didn't think much of. When I created it I gave limited info because I didn't think anybody would take it seriously and give a HQ response (thinking this isn't a coding forum), but Wiggles proved me wrong and for that I thank him.

Don't nominate anyone higher than Administrator. We need at least two Staff to decide on a winner.
If each was nominated then the staff decision wouldn't help much.

Nice in depth nomination, though this thread isn't for it at the moment. I'll create the thread for nominations when the category is set and it's near the time .

@Android: Currently Staff can be nominated as member of the month, though I'll think about revoking that near the time, I'm still undecided. This thread is simply informing you as of now, we'll be on the look out for the sites member of the month.

Sorry, My comment might of been worded wrong. I was just stating that you can't choose a Founder as at least one/two staff members needs to decide and if all staff are nominated who will make the final decision. It would likely be. Any staff members nominated can't place there opinion on who should win as it would become somewhat biased.

You can't nominate yourself, that's logic anyway. As far as I've followed the thread abut MOTM information, only staff will be allowed to discuss in the Staff's area on who deserves is the most, as regular members could vote for people who are basically LQ, and we want to reward the guy who has helped out the most.

Well good luck to everyone, but it's shame am going to be staff of the month and your not but if i get the cash ill make sure to share 10%, am joking lol sheesh don't go and take it so serious and you just the vote me best of the month for spite, that would be a wicked face plant to me.

This seems like a good idea. It will motivate more users to be HQ and post more.
