Member of the Month...

I'm very tempted now we've got an active member base to introduce this contest. I'm happy to say Market Forums has a growing number of HQ members, and I feel this competition might be an incentive for people to be like them. I think there's a plugin aswell for this, I'll look anyway.

Would you guys want this?

Rep shouldn't be a deciding factor. Rep is a trivial extra members have.

So, positive reputation wouldn't be a factor?

I mean, there can be a member with 50 reputation because he gave away some Steam accounts for free, but thats all he did, but there can also be a random guy that tries hard writing useful tutorials, and such, and only have 6 reputation.

People who scam. Details usually pertain in their posts when they're pleading there innocence and staff are likely to have noticed stuff like this and can post there opinion of the user.
But I don't feel rep should have bearing on how the member is in the community.

Rep will never have a bearing because it's opinion. Unless the rep points is recognition from the community of your hard work, like your example with "steam giveaways". You wouldn't get awarded on the rep though, you'd get awarded because of the giveaways
