Members and staff

I don't get what's the fight about lately. I don't get why the members in this community are targeting staff. The people that take care of LQ-users that's a bad influence to users younger age. The people that get rid of their time and banned scammers off the site. The people that answer your questions, problems and issues.

Now first I'm not taking their side, but I'm saying staff put a lot of work into this site and I know that for a fact, since I'm a staff member in a different site. Some members are complicated, but it's incredible how the staff members have patients and time for that, to help a members issues against another members or depending on the situation.

Like I said before, I'm in nobody's side.

Members of the community I know how you feel too, when a staff member doesn't respond to your messages or ignores you. Now a staff member should never, I repeat, never treat others differently. Everyone has to be treated the same, respectful, care and loved.

Hope you guys understand me.

Aye but the "power" that goes with a Staff position is too much for a lot of people to be able to handle responsibly and it goes to their heads. That's what the whole disagreement is about.

I think mainly because there are certain staff which do behave differently towards certain members, and also are unable to comprehend the fact that regular users also have opinions. Many people are annoyed by the fact that any slightly opinionated suggestion threads are closed shortly after being opened. The people that write these threads have valid opinions that should be taken heed of, not brushed under the carpet. A lot of these people donate to this site to keep it running, if it wasn't for these people then there would be no staff. But instead of staff being grateful towards these people, they treat them like children and oppress everything that is said against them.

Yeah, I agree that it's great that staff help by moderating forums and spend a lot of time doing so, but really it's not some sort of strenuous task. All that they do to apparently grant themselves the ability to ignore any opinions against them is, in reality, merely sitting in a chair in front of a computer. Since when does that amount to being able to take peoples money and then brush them off like they are nothing but kids? It's unethical and god-damn annoying, which I'm sure many users can testify to.

OP stop dick sucking. half the staff we're regular members that flamed others, before promotion. no naming names but they are regular members with power, which they shouldn't have.

Honestly, I think it's people like Jimmy neg repping people and saying they're not human beings and abusing power. The sad thing is we can't neg staff but they can neg us.

I do however appreciate how they get rid of lq users doeee.

I hardly hand negetive reps to anyone, unlike most of you do. I just have 3 negs handed. Someone flaming me over the site, won't be tolerated. Someone asking me to remove my userbar and crying to neg rep me is pathetic.

Because some staff don't know how to do their jobs correctly.

I believe most the time it is the user patronizing the staff user(s) which then progresses into a "grudge." Staff team members should not hold grudges; in fact, they should do anything in their power to resolve any issues with members rather than provoking childish behavior. If they're looking to be a reputable staff team member, they're looking in the wrong direction by holding a grudge with a fellow user.

Must I mention forumkorner's site slogan?

Some people need to grow up and turn the page.

Completely agree with this.

A lot of the members that argue with staff do it for some fair reasons. There have been a few times which staff has acted poorly to resolve their problems and used their "power" against others they don't agree with.

I'm not sure who you are referring to, but I have not flamed anyone since my time here at ForumKorner. Most of the community won't know me as much as I was a mod of the computing section and since no one keeps that section alive, I did.

I work 9 hours a day, sometimes more, and I still manage to have the time for ForumKorner. I could if I really wanted, just come home after work, have a shower and piss off to the pub, but I don't. Plus I love what members of this community throw at me, it might be problems with accounts or even something simple as getting a password reset. That is what I what I enjoy about this community.

So not sure who your referring to, but I am certainly not one of those members.

Because I don't like being accused of something I didn't do.

Just like how would you like to accused of scamming, and you had nothing to do with it?

People join -> They break rules -> They get banned -> They get butthurt -> They think they are though -> Attack staff

I'm not sure anyone was talking about you in particular, however, bad staff is bad. See below.

I think that Forum Korner staff care a lot about the forum and who uses it, but sometimes they abuse and don't make a legit use of the power which they have...

Ha, the staff has it out for the members, selected staff members are also scammers.
