Microsoft claims that Google shares users' details with app makers
Microsoft has recently refreshed its Scroogled anti-Google campaign with a new attack, this time aimed at Google Play and the way the Mountain View-based search giant handles users’ information.
According to Microsoft’s own statements, Google is sharing personal details with app makers whenever a user decides to purchase an Android application from its own store.
“When you buy an Android app from the Google app store, they give the app maker your full name, email address and the neighborhood where you live. This occurs without clear warning every single time you buy an app. If you can't trust Google's app store, how can you trust them for anything?” Microsoft explains.
This new commercial is specifically supposed to show everyone that Google doesn’t care about users’ privacy so much, asking its longtime rival to at least provide notifications whenever personal details might get shared.
