Military - Which branch to join?

So as many of you may have already known, I plan on becoming a Marine in the near future.

Unfortunately, that dream has fallen short. Due to tattoos, I'll be going with the advice one Army recruiter told me; "Kill that Marine shit, man."

It's come down to two branches; The Navy & The Army.

I already spoke to both recruiters and have done my fair share of research on both. However I am learning more towards the Navy. I just feel more comfortable with them. But has anyone here been in either branch or know someone who has? I need some more opinions or advice before I make a final decision.

My brother is in the army and he has like 5 tattoo's you probably if you want more things to do after your done with your term go into the army cause if u go in for communications what my brother does when you get out you could get a IT job and make $100k+ a year so if u go into the army do that :p.

My cousin is a EOD in the Navy and he seems to really like it

I have a cousin who flys Apaches for the Air Force and e likes it an has made a good career from it

I have uncles who were in the Army and they said it was a really good experience

I literally had family in all branches of the military and they all seem to like what they do

I'm most likely going into the Army this year

Also if I where you, and you have been wanting to join the Marines for so long I would see diffrent recruiter and see his opinion also get a high score on the Military test I think that would help oversee the tattoo. If all fails just buy a tattoo remover they actually sell over the counter ones and just remove it.

I plan on joining the army. Each branch has its own perks, benefits and opportunities. If you are leaning more towars the Navy I assume the benefits of that branch are what suits you best. Good luck man.

Every branch has the same benefits.

I am leaning towards the Navy because it is more affiliated with the Marines.

Also I love to swim... and I heard the Navy travels the world the most.

Call of Duty makes the military look bad. It is not the same at all. But it is a good simulation. However I am not joining because of a damn FPS game with good graphics. lol

Grandfather, Uncles, and Cousins served in the Navy. By far the best in my opinion, you were right earlier they travel much more.
I myself still have Marines in mind, tattoo free :p

I'm tatted also so I hope the Army doesn't say shit about it

From what I know, the Army doesn't care, as long as it's not on your face, neck, fingers or is gang related!

Yeah I'm going with the Navy but the recruiter got mad cause I said I was still wanted to become a Marine even though they said I can't due to tattoos... I said I wasn't going to give up, then he said well what are you doing in my office lol.

Would they accept you if you got the tattoo removed or erased (whatever they do)? You could just get the same tattoo again when you're done serving. If it doesn't work like that then I would suggest the Navy.

Yes but tattoo removals are VERY expensive. And even then if I get it removed they can't guarantee that I will be approved...
