Modern Warfare 3 All But Confirmed

Modern Warfare 3 looks like it will be the next game in the Call of the Duty franchise. After months of speculation regarding what Activision has up their sleeve for this year’s Call of Duty release, more proof points towards Modern Warfare 3. A teaser in the latest issue of the Offical PlayStation Magazine notes that “The Biggest game in the world returns” with a large 3 emblazoned on the page. The teaser claims that the magazine will hit news stands on June 8th, right smack dab in the middle of E3 2011. This comes on the heels of other information that hinted at Modern Warfare 3 from a voice actor that let slip he was working on a reprisal role for Activision. So there you have it, expect Modern Warfare 3 to go head to head with Battlefield 3 this fall.

Are you so sure about that? Modern Warfare 2 was the highest gross selling on its first day then any other videogame at that point (except Wii Play lol). I think Blackops beat it though.

Battlefield 2 has the most online play out of any game still to date I believe and Dice remade a couple of BF2 maps. 3M BF2 players will look at BF3. Most will buy BF3.

I think COD MW3 will be huge. I'll personally play it and check it out.
I can't wait to see what they are thinking about doing with it.

Remember how Black Ops was just released, and everyone bought it at the day of the release? I'm expecting results like such for Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3.

BF3 has the best graphics and smoothness of any game to date and will for the next year or so. Frostbite 2 is the best engine yet. MW3 will have nothing of BF3. BF3 online will be so huge compared to MW3.

You don't know that since MF3 hasn't been announced or seen.
It's been in development for 2 year maybe more/less.
It has chance of being better looking.

But honestly I love BF2 and will BF3.
But generally MF3 will have more Hype and steal the spotlight.
BF3 has been lucky MF3 wasn't unveiled earlier or their big add campaign wouldn't of been as effective.
Generally more hype means more sales.

Well, not necessarly. BF2 has the biggest online players/community so more likely BF3 will win this one in my opinion. Plus, activision and Treyarch choose gameplay over graphics and what not. While BF3 has everything as we have seen in the trailers. Best Engine in the world right now. So that's a big +50 for Dice.

Trailers can be deceiving and shouldn't always be trusted.
I agree the Frostbit engine "looks" good.
But is that the reason you play games? Over looks.
You have to wait and see, but from history cod does better than Bf usually.

The online play compared to CoD, BF wins by a shit ton. All BF games have been online only and no story mode until BFBC. BF will always have better online than CoD but Campaign, I don't know. The Graphics are the best than any game that will release in 2011-2012 as E3 said in a article I read on another forum. But we will see about the stroy mode though.
