To an extent money does buy happiness. Without it you and I would have nothing. Money buys you a car, a house, medicine, etc... Without it we would have to live life in simpler times like before.

In other words, money does not equal happiness, but it is an essential in life and does help in life.
It does, people are way greedy for this, even us int he internet, finding ways to earn online, you can conduct a study in here, check some monetizing forums out and you'll see in some sections that people are willing to do anything just for money.
Some people say that they don't need money, and they are wrong. Money will help us achieve happines, but it can not bring us to happines, but without it it is almost impossible to achieve happiness.
Money brings happiness if you have lower income levels. But as you gain more and more money, there's a peak of happiness after which you start to be less happy again. The idea is that money brings happiness if it's raising your standard of living, but after your standard of living becomes comfortable, money will just bring you material objects. If you're still counting on money to bring you happiness that point, you'll just end up materialistic. Money can't buy friends. Or love. Usually.
