This might be a vent thread, but whatever.
My dad is addicted to working, he is also very addicted to having money and what not. Well I hate it, he never pays attention to us as a family. He always comes home, if he has had a bad day, he dosent talk about it. All he talks about is bills and what not, what to pay off, when to go shopping, I mean seriously. My mom even has a budget due to him wanting to cut down on prices and crap, and we arent even poor.
Well it struck him back, my brother totalled his car, and he just got out of the hospital! So now we got to pay for that as well.
Well on to the topic of the story -
Do you think that money is more important then family, friends? Do you think that earning more money then having more friends is acceptable to the culture of our generation? Do you think that it is being forced upon this generation that we are being forced to think that family and friends aren't important, that making money is?
What is your insight on this?
My opinion is that it is not important at all, I rather have people who love me, support me for what I do and what my decisions are. I rather be the one to be poor but have people who support me. I think that people who make tons of money are miserable, some people who make tons of money though can live good lives, I am not saying that all rich and famous people are miserable, I am just saying some are and that people who worry about money worry more, and have tons more stress on their lives.
