Model: Hanns G HW191D
Trying to run it through VGA onto my Xbox. I used the power chord and VGA chord from my other monitor because I only had one set of chords, and they seemed to fit into this newer monitor. There is also another port for DVI which I dont think is relevant here. I dont want to use the monitor for anything other than my xbox.
The problem: When I turn the xbox on, the monitor shows the startup screen for a few seconds and then the screen goes black. The monitor doesnt turn off, but the screen doesnt display anything.
I tried to use google to find the answer, but there were so many different answers that dont make sense to me because I dont know anything about these things.
Any suggestions are welcome, I really need someone to sit down and walk me through it. I feel like this is a lot simpler than im making it sound. Feel free to PM me if you can help
I think i've narrowed it down to one of 3 problems:
Capacitator
Inverter
Backlight
Can anyone provide any more insight on the likelyhood of which of the 3 it would be, which is easiest to find/fix, which is the cheapest to fix, where to fix it, if its even worth it? I need some sort of technician I believe. I need a place to start..
