While I do think people are making kinda a big deal about it, I think it's a bit insensitive and not a very... good? investment. I dunno; I think an outside park or a memorial site would be better for any open area around it, but that might just be my patriotism.

I agree with you, except the 'Mosque' is being built 2 or 3 blocks away from the site at an old coat factory.

The community of that area has needs which need to be met, they can't suffer because of the governments lack of 'urgency'. A memorial should have been erected within at least 5 years after the disaster happening.

Would've been ideal to be up sooner, but it didn't happen. Better late than never.
And the idea of a central government taking care of community "needs" pisses me off. What people "need" is to learn how to take care of themselves. *doesn't want to get into this; wrong thread*

In fact, if they owned the land where the Twin Towers once stood, and wanted to build their little community center there, they could. They have the right to do so, no matter what corner of the world they may have came from, or religious beliefs they may hold.

I do understand that i just don't think we should trust them yet.

We should not be like that. That's the problem with America. We shouldn't judge everyone by what they look like. If they don't speak English and just came here to learn how to fly a plane we shouldn't trust them. But if they have lived here for a long time and just kept their cultural beliefs that's fine.Clockwork said:I do understand that i just don't think we should trust them yet.
