Most famous person on YouTube or the co-protagonist on a TV show?

Just a question that came to my mind, would you rather be the most known person on YouTube or the co-protagonist on a decent TV show?
I'd prefer be the most famous person on YouTube for a few reasons. Schedules could be one, it would be my channel and my job and I wouldn't have to work for anyone else, I could upload the videos pretty much when I wanted to. You can't tell how much money Ray William Johnson makes off YouTube but I'm sure he lives a good life. While being a co-protagonist, I'm not the main character and the money that we earn would have to be split with more people in the program, so I'm not sure about that, also I'd have people telling me what to do "we've to record this day, you have to be in this mood for this scene" etc, and I wouldn't like that too much.

What about you? What do you prefer?

it would be pretty cool to be famous on youtube, but, i guess if you were on a TV show you'd earn more money than you would from youtube.

i think maybe in the future people will earn more from youtube though.

Um probably a TV show as theres more opportunities after it.
