Well usually I don't upgrade my computer, every 8 months or so i reformat my computer.

Anyway yesterday was the day i did this, upgraded form 2gb ram to 5gb ram.
160gb hard drive to 1 terabyte.

Reformatted as i had a shitload of virus's/blackhat stuff that just got too much, things were laggy and such.

I also got win7 which I've previously had but i always go back to vista as i like it better.

No i don't think my computer is good, just making a thread!

I don't think my post will be good but making it anyway

Good on you, ram is extremely cheap at the moment, although if i was you I would've gone for 6gb ram, it's the new current standard.

What ram did you originally have in it and what do you have now? (e.g 1 bit of 2g ram is 1x2, 2 bits of 1g ram is 2x1)

Oxide, 8gb ram isn't beast because you can buy them like that from just about anywhere, beast is where you're forced to order it with more ram or add more in yourself. (eg 10+).
Famous, 2 2gbs and 1 1gb is 2x2 and 1x1.

Well the I series is always good, an intelligent processor that efficiently manages how it works. (i3 - good, i5 - above average, i7 - excellent
Also, are you using a laptop or desktop computer?

Oops, misread the question, one second, I'll check online for you. (Still need to know desktop or laptop)

Inxy, I have plenty of knowledge about computers, I've subscribed to a bunch of newsletters, i read dummy books on them (10 pages off finishing one om networking), and I have a passion that keeps my brain to recall the information.(Most)

The only thing that you think I could be wrong about is the I series of processors, where I know for a fact I'm right.
For example, it's cache may be smaller than some other high powered processors but it's "Intelligence" had it's own database of what you use regularly, (This has 20 hits, this has 30 hits for example) place them in a folder that allows for faster loading.

Alright so 'decent' is ranging from 50-90.

It really depends on model. I know that i5 2600k outperforms i7-950/i7-870.
