I couldn't find a spot for actual feedback so this will do.
I know many of you don't know me, but I was an active part of Runegear helping to moderate it at different times, and have had experience with dozens of forums over the past six years and would like to give you some feedback. I have spent the past month here (mostly lurking, but yes i'm here) and have noticed several things.
The first thing that stands out is the quality of the users. As with any forum there are many high quality users who mean well and contribute. However, the amount of users that are immature and feel like they are "the man" so to say due to the amount of rep and awards they have is overwhelming. This does not apply to everyone with high rep or numerous awards! However the fact is that there seems to be a lot of "rep for rep" type deals going on. Just because you have a high green number next to your name, doesn't make you better than a perfectly high quality user who joined a week ago. This being said, it is quite noticible that there are also several "cliques" on the forum. Now I might be wrong here, but the point and philanthropy of most groups is to enhance the forum for regular users with its contributions and helpfulness, not to look down upon "lesser" members.
The second major thing is that quite frankly the entire user base is made up of console gamers (almost all xbox) and social medium junkies. If there is any hope for this forum in the long term you need to get members to join that are interested in different aspects. A diverse community is a thriving community. Note that by "getting members" I do not mean buying another forum. Try actually advertising properly and maybe giving some incentive to be active in different sections in the forum.
I don't expect to be listened to, but atleast you've heard what I have to say.
