Name changing question...

My question is, how long after changing your name on one account, does the site recognize that the name name is free and can be changed to on another account? Minutes, instantly?



It's a hard question to explain, so sorry if you don't get it..If you don't get it this might help.


If I have a level 3 with a rare name that I want my main to have and I change the name of the level 3, how long after I change the name of my level 3 can I change the name to that on my main?

I don't quite get what he is trying to say. Anyway "dude" is f2p atm, so you'll have to add mem to be able to change the name. Once you change the name it will become available instantly so anyone might be able to steal it. What I would do is buy the account and not change it right away wait 3-5 days so people aren't checking every 5 seconds. That's just me though.
 
vallium, or he gets somebody to loggin on the Account and Change while he has it ready to change on his Main

Yeh I just wanted to now how much time before the name would be available to other people to use. Thanks, and I hope you don't think that I'm implying your going to scam lol.
 
I think it's instant, if there is any delay it would probably be a very short one.
 
I THINK it's instant, but don't take my word on it I might be wrong..

You should go check on the RS official forums.
 
Also, you have to wait 28 days to change the name if it is directly out of tutorial island.
