need a little help

I run a small online tshirt store (spreadshirt based (in my sig) ) and sell tshirts.

ive had only 400 views and one sale, looking to possibly make a deal with a company which is all good, but i think i could do with some help from you guys on how to get more buying viewers.
i advertise it everywhere i can (freely) and am not looking at really investing in advertising too much.

any of you guys be able to shed some light on this

Advertising won't do as good, I must say. I'd probably just try to join some popular forums, and try to get known there, then tell your friends there of your T-shirt store.

seems a lot of forums arent happy about advertisement though

Don't use forums as advertisement though, be active at 1-2 specific forums you enjoy being at, make friends, then talk to them about your T-Store. Don't just go on forums and directly go "Hey I have my own T-store, anyone wants to be my customers?"

im like that. it started out on a drug user forum (hence some of the shirts) and i made shirts to fit the theme
just seems nobody wanted any.
only sale i made was a custom unrelated one

I'm not sure what to suggest now, it's quite difficult to sell your shirts since there are already tons of shirt companies out there. Try harder and smarter, I'm sure you'll do it.
I don't know what else to recommend, as I never did sold Tee's.

Well i'm doing custom designs for people interested in buying tee's, but they can cost slightly more.

Do you create the shirts yourself and send them off? Or do you design it send it to a t shirt maker and then get it shipped off?

As someone that runs a lot of businesses, the best way to get your t-shirt company out there is to invest in people.
You need to get your product out there. I would advise handing out t-shirts to people that are going to promote your company for free.
For example, if you send me some shirts and hats (if you sell hats) I can put them in my businesses and promote your shirt company to people that come in and out of my stores. This is going to be the best way to get your product out and recognized in the market.
People are your best bet. Find a group of people that are willing to get shirts from you (for free of course as you are "sponsoring" them) and allow them to freely promote your product. If you want to make a kind of deal like this with me, just post here or shoot me a PM.

i just make the designs, then spreadshirt makes and ships them. so handing them out free dont work.

im trying to do a small apparell deal (i charge for design per sale they make through their spreadshirt store) but that dont seem to be going too well....
