Overclocking a laptop should be possible unless your laptop is running a locked down chipset. You can make all steps you do on a desktop however I really much doubt Intel hasn't locked down their mobile chipset for regular laptops
um im running on an asus p6x58d-e, 950 corsair h70 cooled, and 1600mhz 9 9 9 24 rated ram. does an asus bios auto adjust the dram multi so that it remains within the rated freq? or do i need to change the dram multi manually. and, is it true the qpi bus speed needs to be double the dram freq?
It's so weird my friend has the same computer as mine but on speedtest.org it runs faster.. But in real life mine is faster what is up with that? Is it just because he has better internet? Because I know ours sucks because of where we live.
