Need Help

Well I've been thinking of building my own computer for a while, but I'm uncertain of what I should do, so I've come here to ask a couple questions
Is it worth building my own PC? or should I just go out and buy myself a PC, my school sells the tower for only $50 but the downside is that the tower is a Dell not sure what model but it's a pretty old model, should I buy the tower remove everything and add my own parts? or would it be better to just buy the Case of a tower and starting everything from scratch? Also I will be using the PC for mostly gaming.

Definitely start everything from scratch.

You could get a much better case for just a little bit more money too, this one is only $79.99 w/o shipping.(There's much better cases' for not much money, I just did a quick google search)

Always build your own, or have someone you know help you build one. The pre-made PCs are huge pieces of junk.

The dell is most likely not compatible with a lot of the newer parts your better off starting fresh with a new build. Lots of tutorials on YouTube.

My budget would be from about $800-$1000, I'd be playing mostly games downloaded from steam, an example would be League of Legends, I'd like the resolution to be either 720p or 1080p, my currency is Canadian Dollars

With 800-1000$ budget you can make a "mean" gaming pc.

But as with your question, always build your own PC. Pre-built computers normally lack in expandablitiy as well as parts they "cheap out on" such as throwing in a cheap mobo, psu, etc...

Don't use that dell case for 50$ You can find just as good of case for cheaper and it's already stripped of the "junk" internals.

If I were you I would just buy a custom built PC. There are some sites that let you customize the parts so you can add anything you want to it.

Since you haven't ever built a PC you should have one built for you.

Also you would want a very good GPU if you want to game.

When I built my first computer I didn't know what I was doing either.

It is tricky at first, but its really not that bad.

Just reinstating I SERIOUSLY recommend building your own computer from scratch.
