So recently I got a new instagram username, I put it on a fresh account, I go to follow my main account and it says Verify Your Account, and for me to enter my phone number. When I type my phone number, it prompts me to type the code in that I should've received in a text, I get the code and everything is fine, except the code is one number longer than it should be. I type my phone number in again and it sends the exact same code, can anyone please help me? I'm kinda scared. Sorry if this is the wrong section or whatever, I didn't know where to put this

even if u dont verify it like instantly nothing wont happen.

Perhaps you could make another fresh account, get it varified (assuming it would work) and then transfer your handle to the newly verified fresh account.

If that doesn't work, you could always find someone you trust to do it for you on their phone and try it then.
