Need some help

I have this incredibly annoying assignment for my guitar class where we have to identify 20 notes (bass and treble clef) in less then 100 seconds, the notes only stay on the screen for roughly 5 seconds, were only allowed 5 errors and 1 hint.
I'm fine for the most part on the treble clef except for the really low/high notes, same goes for the bass clef.
So my question is; does anyone know a "easy" way to remember the notes above and below the staff on both bass and treble? I'll be mucho happy if someone can help me out. >.>

Do you do it at your house? If so, pull up a screen with all the notes labeled and look at that.

Sorry I can't really help, I just started learning how to read sheet music last week.

Yeah I do, but with the notes disappearing in roughly five seconds I can't see the note on the assignment, look at the chart, look back, and then click it. Such a pain. >.<

Wow what a bitch of an assignment. I've played piano since I was 4, and various other instruments along the way. I've been able to read notes for as long as I can remember, but I still have some trouble with above and below staff lines. I suppose you've been taught the tricks for the actualy staff lines such as E,G,B,D,F (Every Good Boy/Band Deserves Fudge/Fans) and stuff like that. I don't really have any tips for you Shink unfortunately, which kind of makes my post here useless I suppose. The only input I can give you is literally try to memorize visually the way it looks. Like when I see an "A" above the staff line, for some reason I can identify it immediately. I suppose the reason he's assigning you this is so you do exactly that, recognize it as soon as you see it.

I was always good, I don't know why I quit, I liked it too >.<

I used to be able to do that Cam, but after I quit playing trumpet end of my 8th grade year I lost the talent. It's been roughly two years since I've picked up an instrument, and I can still do a little bit of above/below the staff on the treble clef (mainly what I played in band). I've never touched a bass clef instrument though, which makes it kind of idiotic that I would have to know it.
In my opinion, if I can see the note and know how to play it on a guitar, who cares if I know what it is.
