Bros computer, can't start it up with two hard drives (One is the OS and things, and the other one is his music).

He asked me to take a look at it, because I'm some-what experienced in the computer world - I would say Advanced, but not Expert.

So I took the cover off, looked inside - and I've been trying to get the two hard drives to work together so the PC would start up!

I can only start the PC up with one hard drive (the OS one) - but for some reason I have to plug it in the second connector slot on the Mobo (My mobo has a blue slot, which is usually where your master goes and a white slot where your slave goes) but my computer only recongnizes the hard drive when it's in the second connector.

So on the BIOS it says it's "Secondary Master" - Not primary, I cannot fix this I've tried many ways..

So I can get the PC to start up with one HD - but not both! And when I plug my slave one in to the connector - My PC freezes as the boot screen...

Some specs:

Compaq Desktop Presario S00000
1GB of RAM
Windows XP Home Edition
Athlon XP 2600+ (2.13 Ghz)
CMOS Bios

(I've tried resetting the CMOS by removing the battery several times to no avail)

I NEED SOME HELP PEOPLE.

How does that computer even run? The Mobo is probably malfunctioning as the computer itself is super fucking old.
