Negative Rep Question

To begin, I am not sure if this is in the correct section. Anyways, I logged on today to see my reputation is a -5. Apparently, a user did not agree with my opinion about a topic involving a man who brung his child with him while he preformed sexually with another minor. The man was obviously sick but the user though otherwise. All I did was voice my opinion. Now, it appears to others as if I'm untrustworthy.

I am uncertain as if he was trolling or not. Regardless, it was wrong. I want to make future deals with users but this will most likely prevent that. I'm not positive on what to do here. Can someone please help me with this situation?
