Personally I think new members who come and try selling straight away should have to reach a certain amount of posts before they are able to attempt to sell anything I this site.

This is due to the fact that, since I joined I see all these new members trying to sell their items/products without getting involved in the community.

This makes it seem to me that the don't care in the slightest about the site and just want to make money from it.

I don't know if anyone will agree but personally I think this would benefit the community as new members are more likely scam or leave once they have the profits they desired.

Please leave your feedback below.

I don't think they should get a warning lol, it's a forum. You are entitled to sell here. Whether you're new or old.

I agree but some members (trusted) on FK say that they know them and they are legit in their introduction.

Some new members really don't care about being on a website all day & just want to sell there shit. It would be stupid to give them a warning/ban. They would just go to a different site. If you are dealing with a new member you could always use a MM. I'm sure this took awhile to type, sorry but this is pointless.

Thank you, @MCG

I understand that, however there is a great community here and people just tend to join to abuse this fact.

When people do this, I have seen examples of members getting frustrated with them as they would rather they had been active within the community, rather than the sole intent of joining to sell.

Now that it's phrased a bit better I agree with you, to an extent. Some people have come here just to sell and then become a part of the community. I mean there could be like a post restriction in the selling sections like 50 posts required to post a thread.

By having a post restriction until you are able to sell, that would enable people to become better known within the forums and make people more likely to do business with them. Most members don't like dealing with the newer members as they don't deem them trusted or know anything about them.

You are basically saying you have to be friends with everyone just to sell your item, when you could easily do it on another forum.

Well i think there should be a limit to 100 post before posting in the market place because it seems like users just want to scam now days thats why i don't deal with any one that has less than 800 post

No I am not saying that in the slightest.
ForumKorner has a great community and people would like to know a bit about who try are dealing with before they complete a sale/trade with them. By having a post count in place before they sell, it will ensure that they have to become part of the community to receive that count and therefore becoming more well-known around the servers.

Ther only thing they are going to know about the user is what he/she types like.

That is one downfall, however most of the time when people become involved within the community, they will see what he/she likes on the forums, how helpful they are and they also may build up friendships with one another so they start chatting a lot more frequently. I believe this happens more often than someone who types on forums just for the sake of it.

Once again "friends".

I came here just to get a final kik, instagram, and snapchat. I'm not trying to make friends with anyone. People shouldn't have to post around and joke with you just to sell their item, when they could do it easier on a bigger forum.

People may want a final SM, however they are not likely to get a trade/sale as newer members are the members you have to take the biggest precaution with.

I believe there should be a lower post limit such as 25/30, just so that people have seen them around the forums for a short while before they undergo any sort of deal with them.

For example, you yourself are actually getting your post count up, so people are seeing your interests around the forum. This will then give them an insight into what you are like. I myself post a lot with small tips so that people are able to complete something easier.

A MM can solve any precautions, really.

That is true, however a lot of users tend to do lower trades so don't require a MM, but will still get scammed.

Also even with a MM, the trade/sale could still go wrong as they may jack the account back afterwards.

That's a little redundant. If we add that limit spam on these forums would drastically increase, don't you think?

If I was some kid trying to sell my shitty gamertag I would spam useless shit until I got to 100 posts.

I agree with both comments. By having a smaller post limit before selling on this site such as 25, It would be an incentive to gain before having the right to sell.

FK was made for a marketplace, to be honest. I don't think restricting people from selling would help.
