New Statistic: Today's Posts

With @"Philly"'s posting contest currently being fought for, I believe we should add a new statistic to the stats tab on a user's profile.
The statistic will be called 'Today's Posts' and will track a user's post count for each respective day.

For example:

I hope this gets implemented.

This wouldn't work because of all the members living in multiple time zones.

I don't really care if this is implemented or not... why do you need this? :S

It would work, as from what I've seen, FK's tracker is based on PST.

It would most likely reset at the same "time" for everyone. It would only work if it reset at midnight in everyone's timezone (separately). Otherwise, people like you and @Michael would get far less posts than the majority of us.

You're saying that we'll have less posts per day due to time zones?

If it is a 24 hour window, there will be no difference in the amount of posts per day no matter what time the reset occurs.

Less threads will be active during your time zone than the majority of the members. Unless you plan on spamming threads with a few members that are in/around your time zone.

The time of day for our counties are 5-7 hours behind the USA. This would be of no hinderance to our participation in the forum's peak hours.

The only time we see inactivity is when all the americans go to bed, which even for us, is at about midnight. You're assuming that our minority will have "far less" posts per day when we're only missing out on the activity between your morning hours, which from my experience is not exactly red hot with activity.

I honestly see no use for this... no offense but I do not think we need this.

No offence taken, this is simply a suggestion.

On the contrary, both of your logic would render every statistic useless.

Yes. Is the point of this so you can see how many times someone posts in the posting contest? That's the only thing you hinted at. It would tell the persons total posts for that day though not just for that contest. Plus, there is the time zone argument. No thx jeff.

I referred to Philly's posting contest, because it sparked this suggestion of mine. You wouldn't really understand the reference if you didn't know what his contest involved.
By the time zone argument's logic, you may as well disregard half of the other statistics on the forum.
If you don't see a 'point' in a singular statistic, then there is literally no need for any of the others.

I honestly see so much use for this! This is a brilliant idea!
