Next Gen Consoles - What is your opinion?
You can discuss your opinions on the 'Next Gen Consoles' here.
My Opinions:
Xbox One - Seems alright, Like the idea that it has skype now, DOn't like the whole kinect situation.
Playstation 4 - Seems pretty cool, needs to catch up to Xbox's Standards though.
Oculus Rift - Seems really cool! Hope to see what comes out of this.
Wii U - Not bad, Definitely has made an improvement on the Wii Console.
The controller is actually what I hate most about the Playstation 4.Gym said:Playstation 4 - Like the controller, more game oriented, not social.

The battery dies very quickly; I'll be a few hours into a game and the battery's already on the verge of death. The cable is also really short so it's not like you can (comfortably) use it from a distance.
Do you guys know of a way to extend the battery-life of the controller via some kind of purchasable solution (i.e something you plug into it to make the battery last longer)? If so, please let me know. ;_;
I second this post. I also totally agree with the xb1 ui being complete shit. NOT user friendly at all.Random said:Oculus Rift isn't a console, it's more in league with your PC monitor.
Wii U is literally cancer IMO.
PS4 isnt that bad.
X1 has the worst UI I've seen to date. The X360 had an amazing setup, and they ruined it by switching to Metro on the X1.
It's the light that makes it die so fast. You can dim it down in the settingsAutisticCatgirl said:The controller is actually what I hate most about the Playstation 4.

Hmm, I heard about the light affecting the battery life, too, but dimming it didn't seem to make any difference. I also lowered the volume of the speaker and that didn't help either.Felon said:It's the light that makes it die so fast. You can dim it down in the settings
Most of the reviews on Amazon stated that the battery pack made the controller feel uncomfortable. I hope Nyko releases an improved version of this.. The idea is great, but I don't want a better battery life if it's going to get in the way of my gaming.Random said:Here's a viable solution:
On Amazon there is an Item called the "Nyko Power Pack" for the Ps4.
It's a 1000mAh backup battery that should help with your battery life problems.
PM me if you need anything else, or more information.
You could get a 15ft charge cord. it's not officially from Sony, but if you're careful you can find a decent one that'll allow you to charge from a distance, so at least you can play.AutisticCatgirl said:Hmm, I heard about the light affecting the battery life, too, but dimming it didn't seem to make any difference.
