Megaman said:We got Rednecks, we're fine. On a serious note, I highly doubt they will be able to harm us on a large scale, just because we deweaponized the nukes doesn't mean anything
Paranormal said:They were aparently going to send the attacks today. They wouldn't do it though.
Knock on wood but seriously, if a nuclear war started say bye bye to the world. :/
Chronos said:While I'm scared as ever of the possibility of being nuked (and if we're nuked, I'll be hit first on the East coast). However, North Korea wouldn't go against the entire US and it's allies. Nuke one of us, and North Korea will be wiped off the earth. North Korea is simple a little dog barking big game.
Bubba said:The dates have been inconsistent, I read something about the 16th. Shouldn't matter, I'm just happy I'm away from the huge city. I shall be out of a nuclear zone I believe.
The East coast would be impacted majorly, and the capitol is there as well which would have a huge affect upon us morale wise. I'm not all too scared of North Korea as much as China, combine those two and we all have a problem.
Salvation said:"Kim Jong Un" is also breaking the treaty we had with them stating that we would never get into warfare starting now.
Like I said in The Empire discussion, we should lay down the law and hand their sorry asses a beating that they deserve and are clearing asking for.
Megaman said:China wouldn't get involved, they are too reliant on us buying all of their supplies
Bubba said:He broke the hotline between the two capitals as well, again.
But we can't simply launch an attack on them, there will be repercussions, and quite frankly our economy is already screwy as is. We need to definitely limit them, but to start war with them would tarnish our reputation(A horrible one as is). We would look as the Germany in WW I and WW II. If they attempt anything upon us, then hell yes I agree. If you didn't want to read that spiel: don't throw the first punch in the fight, throw the winning one.
Salvation said:That's a detailed way to put it, yes, but I'm more exaggerating. Obviously steps will have to be taken and war is not even eminent yet.
I agree fully with that, countries shouldn't even have nuclear devices in the first place anymore, it's too catastrophic even for the dirtiest of wars. Even though North Korea doesn't have the ability to send long distance war heads, it's still not a great idea to leave the device to such a young leader. His head is militarily filled unlike his father.Sulfate said:There is no longer a need for nuclear arms, nor was there ever. United states, just like every other country should have very few to no nuclear warheads, as a war on this scale would mean the end of the world.
No, you cant ask a country such as North Korea to just quit their nuclear program. How To stop it though is a very hard question. Certainly not US invasion, simply because thats really not our business nor can we afford another war. I would say there is justification of South Korean invasion of NK if oppression and poor relations continue. In this situation, I could see the US being support to South Korea rather than leading the invasion.
Slacker said:The United States actually has a defense mechanism to prevent any air strike via missile / plane. We have rockets that we fire to destroy and incoming threat before it ever has the oppurtunity to come to our shores and hurt our country. This is a proven fact so if North Korea decides to be a bunch of fucking idiots and fire a nuke, we will shoot it down, no one should be effected by this, and then either just nuke the fuck out of them or go to there land and make them our little bitches!!!
MURIKA!!
Seriously tho we do have them missiles I spoke of
Cesar said:even if the North Koreans decided to launch one of their missiles, they would never hit us.
we have the most sophisticated defense systems all over the world.
they would be the ones getting screwed.
Sanctuary said:Bubba just wants everyone to go to war so he can get a gun in his hands...
Also, 'murica.
