north vs south Korea?

the north and south korea has been in conflict for several decades now. What should be the done to avoid the conflict to further escalate to an armed confrontation?

Well I don't really know how to avoid the conflict because it is already there. It can't be avoided anymore. Honestly speaking I don't understand why they are fighting like that considering that they are from the same country, Korea. Why couldn't they just get along and do their country and economy a favor?

To avoid further conflict it would require A submit of south Korea to North Korea's Communist Capitalism, or a small war that would domino into a possible World War III that would later leave Africa and Europe left standing. Or we could just step in as the great diplomats we are and after about 40 years we could convince North Korea to Sign a nice long treaty with South Korea and maybe we would see a new map form with a nice big KOREA.~blaze.

Never been a big fan of communism however, they have some fair ideologies to share like all societal based systems
Like Inxy stated, a communist collapse would only be the real resolve here, unless South Korea got converted...

We've already tried to assist and stop the fighting, causing the Korean war. Their isn't too much more we can do until N. Korea stops being a communist country.

North Korea is not a communist country. It resembles Russia under Stalin, but even then, Russia was not a communist state at the time. Communism is not about centralizing the government, or even promoting the ideal of national infrastructure, it's core idea involves freeing the country from a central government, religion, and other values that deter its workings.

Asking this is close to asking why we don't stop the fights between Israel and Palestine. Both groups are neighbors and hold far different ideals on life and the works.
