In movies, people always yell shit like "SWAT TEAM AT 3 O'CLOCK". I know it's like 3 = right, 6 = be-hide but where do you get the '12' from? North? In-front of you? If so, what if both of you are facing different ways? Which one do you call?

Okay, so how the f*ck do people workout which was 12 is when they're facing the other way? Like, not sure about you but when I'm fighting a wave of zombie mutant people I'm not really checking up on my partner to see which way he's facing.
